Newsgrape Development Update, 15/11/2011 - the "promoter", a social-media campaign manager and an important part of Newsgrape is now online.

Dear Newsgrape Community,

The Newsgrape Beta has now bee online for one month and is increasingly gaining momentum. Over 30.000 unique visitors have resulted in 120.000 page views. And the time has come to launch the Newsgrape Promoter, our social media campaign manager.

The update includes a variety of small improvements and two main topics:

Social Connections

First, you can now link your social media accounts in your profile settings under "Social Connections". Facebook and Twitter are currently enabled, Google+ will follow shortly. Below you can choose which of your actions should send notifications to your friends and followers. For example, if you publish a new article, or post a comment.

Promoter

The promoter is an great tool to help with the promotion of your articles. You can add Tweeds and Facebook posts to a waiting queue, which will then appear to your friends and followers at predetermined times. This results in a number of huge advantages:

Now, if you publish an article on Newsgrape and set a couple of promotions, you're free to lean back and spend your time with something else instead of having to stick around the computer during the high-traffic hours, because your friends and followers know about your new article immediately and in case someone missed the initial post they'll surely find out about your article once your next promotions appear. How this works is explained here.

Follow Newsgrape on Twitter, and to join the Facebook page for more updates!
