Wieso Steve Jobs immer einen schwarzen Rollkragenpullover trug

Was war das Markenzeichen von Apple-CEO und Mitbegründer Steve Jobs? Richtig - der schwarze Rollkragenpulover.

In zwölf Tagen erscheint seine Biographie in den USA - der Autor Walter Isaacson enthüllt hier das große Geheimnis um den Lieblingspullover. Aus einem Vorabdruck ist dieses Kapitel aber bereits bekannt.

In den 80er Jahren besuchte Steve Jobs eine Fabrik des japanischen Konzerns Sony. Dort habe er damals gefragt, wieso alle Mitarbeiter Uniformen trugen. Sony-Gründer Akio Morita erklärte ihm daraufhin, dass die Uniformen nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg eingeführt wurden, um die Mitarbeiter des Konzerns mit entsprechender Arbeitskleidung zu versorgen, die diese täglich tragen konnten. Über die Jahre, sei eine sehr feste Bindung der Mitarbeiter zu Sony entstanden - teils wegen dieser Uniformen.

Steve Jobs war begeistert von dieser Idee - „Ich entschied, dass ich diese Bindung auch für Apple wollte“, wird Jobs in der Biografie zitiert. So wandte er sich an den japanischen Designer Issey Miyake, der auch die Sony-Uniformen entworfen hatte. Er wollte eine "Apple Weste" für seine Mitarbeiter.

Doch seine Idee stieß auf taube Ohren. Jobs wurde von der Bühne gebuht -  „Alle hassten die Idee“, so Jobs.
In der Zwischenzeit hatte er sich aber mit dem Designer Miyake angefreundet und fragte ihn deshalb, ob er ihm ein paar schwarze Rollkragenpullover machen könnte - denn diese fand er stets bequem. Daraufhin fertigte ihm der japanische Designer gleich mehrere hundert Stück davon an.
Angeblich ist dies der Grund, wieso er immer einen davon trug - „Ich habe einfach genug“, wird Steve Jobs zitiert.
