Newsgrape Development Update, 13.06.2011
Dear Newsgrape community,
At around noon on Saturday we were able to launch the Newsgrape Open Beta, following a 70-hour programming marathon which has left us exhausted but very happy.
After this act of self-sacrifice every team member was sent to bed and strictly forbidden to get up before today. True story.
Meanwhile, many of our users - you're the best! - already filed bug reports and thereby really saved us some time.
Many thanks for all the e-mails and messages!
Just to point it out, the best address for tech-issues is support@newsgrape.com.
As the Open Beta is a completely new engine, we face new bugs and error sources which now get our entire and undivided attention before we continue with developing new features.
From what we can see at this point, all major tools and systems are operational, however, there is a number of little problems. For many users, for example, the article view count is not or not correctly displayed.
Things like these are exactly what we are focusing on right now. Our goal is to finish bugfixing in about one week so we can return to developing and implementing new features as soon as possible.
We will keep you posted about our progress and we look forward to a great time with all of you as the coolest article-community on the web =)
all the best,
Felix, Leo, Bernhard, Luis, Conrad, Sean, Gabor
