Digg, Tweet, Like, and plus one

Keep things positive. Google plus one.

While petitions for dislike buttons continue, and mighty operating system wars arise on the mobile market, google seems to dislike facebooks dominance over the "likeosphere" in the web.

Geeky Google Gygax needs this weapon in their arsenal, too. And why try to weild a mace, if you could weild a mace+1. Google does not have to explain this new feature a lot. The new +1 button stands for "this is cool" and "this is awesome". Basicly: the Like button.

Now if you'd +1 to, the Google Search Engine and your google account slowly evolve into a global facebook, the search results resembling your news wall.

Well. If you say, Google is not innovative here, I admit, yeah, they are not. But who knows, where facebook got the like idea from. At least, if you steal, steal well.

You can join their experiment with the +1 button on the google experimental site. From there, you can enjoy "plusoneing" any search result, telling all your google buddies what you actually search for.

More information is available on the official google site explaining the +1 button in detail.

I don't really think, the strategy behind this move is to completely overtake the infamous like button. It is clearly designed to increase the usage of google profiles themselves, increasing the google experience by actually starting google to use as a social web.

I would suggest for How I Met Your Mother to let Barney introduce the "awesome" button
